Burgundy Farms has a special program designed for the smallest competitors. We start children in lessons at the age of five. Students are taught privately until they are able to walk and trot unassisted or off the lunge line. We have ponies available for lessons for beginning riders. Burgundy Farms' junior program is year-round and accommodates the school-year schedule. Young riders are encouraged to ride year-round to maintain their skill levels and to constantly improve their equine fitness and ability. Meredith Herman has trained several young riders - always with the idea that one may become the next national champion. In addition, Burgundy Farms also offers two one-week pony camp sessions during the summer. Pony camp is $300 per session and runs from 10am to 3pm daily. 2007 dates will be available soon. |
